At Australian Roleplay we take the privacy of personal information seriously. Our aim is to collect the least amount of personal information for you to be an active member with Australian Roleplay.

Personal information we collect

Australian Roleplay collects the following person information from you to enable us to provide services and roleplay experiences to you:

  • Email address
  • Date of birth
  • Discord username
  • Discord ID number
  • Discord profile photo identification number
  • Your IP address

Why do we store your personal information?

We store your personal information for a number of reasons, they include:

  • To enable us to verify who you are against our internal membership records, we are checking if you have been a member before, and if so why had you left the community. 
  • We impose a minimum age as part of our membership requirements. As such we collect your date of birth to verify you meet these requirements. As part of our ongoing auditing and reporting your date of birth is retained as part of this process.
  • We rely on Discsord as our authentication provider as well as our voice and text based communication tool. As part of this intergration with all of our systems we collect information about you that is already held by Discord, this includes your Discord username, ID, profile photo ID and it is where we obtain your email address from. This information is held on file for the purposes of authentication into our web systems, and for whitelisting on our FiveM server.
  • As you login and access our systems, your IP address is recorded for security purposes. 

We won't sell your email address!

Your email address is private, and is only visable to yourself and to our Senior Leadership Team. We have taken steps to censor majority of your email address, expect for the first few characters, and will only access your full email address in the unlikely event we need to contact you directly. 

All of our official communication will either be on Discord or via one of our web systems/game servers. 

We are committed to not selling your email addresses to anyone for any reason. 

Accessing the personal information we hold about you

You are able to see the personal information we hold about you from the My Account page in the Community Portal (https://portal.australianroleplay.com/account).

Upon request we can provide you with a full transcript of all data held by us, including all fictional roleplay characters, above and beyond that of your personal information.

Privacy complaints

As mentioned we take your privacy seriously, if you have a complaint to make or wish to report a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles by Australian Roleplay or a member within Australian Roleplay please contact the NSL Entertainment Privacy Officer via email (privacy.officer@nslentertainment.com). 

Upon reciept of a privacy complaint we will immediately commence an investigation, and if necessary take the immediate steps to prevent any further breaches or potential breaches. We will update you thoroughout the process and ensure your privacy rights are maintained during the process.

Third party disclsoures

Using any of our web systems and authenticating via Discord you are agreeing to share that authentication history with Discord. Refer to Discord's privacy policy for more information on how they handle your data. 

Your information is otherwise not disclosed beyond Australian Roleplay, and it's parent organisation NSL Entertainment.
